Description
This course is designed for children who have successfully completed the Crab badge or who already meet the requirements for it. Children must be able to swim without goggles. They must also be able to stay in the pool area without their parents, as parents may accompany them only to the changing rooms.
In preparation for the deep pool, part of the course takes place without contact with the floor. The focus is on water position (gliding and floating), as well as leg propulsion and exercises in the supine position. The goal is to swim 4 metres in the supine position and turn from the supine to the prone position. Details on the test badges can be found at www.swimsports.ch.
